Presidio Park Brush Fire

Presidio Park Brush Fire
Posted November 7th, 2013 @ 12:41pm by Mark Evans

Airborne and ground firefighters took about a half hour to knock down a fire that blackened part of a brushy hillside in historic Presidio Park. Flames began spreading through thick foliage near the 2800 block of Jackson Street, just south of Interstate 8. Personnel aboard an emergency-services helicopter made several water drops on the fire as engine and truck crews fought it on the ground, containing the burn area to about a quarter-acre.
