Kids Urging Congressman To Clean Up The South Bay

Keeping San Diego beaches clean is a priority, and hundreds of South Bay families are coming together to do just that after the giant sewage spill from Mexico that made a mess of parts of the San Diego coastline.

Stephanie Pate started the South Bay Clean Water Movement and she is dropping off a thousand letters to Congressman Juan Vargas written by kids, like her own daughter Whitney.

Pate tells Reporting Partner 10News that we can't rely on Mexico to make sure this doesn't happen again.  Pate says the group is planning a march through the South Bay on April 29th and is inviting all concerned citizens to join their cause.
