Abuse Prompts L.L. Bean To Change Generous Return Policy

L.L. Bean the outdoor clothing company know for its very liberal return policy, is changing it up because of abuse by some customers.

Would you try to return something that you purchased at a yard sale? What about an article of clothing that you've worn for years and maybe outgrown? Enough people have apparently done so that it's prompted the Maine based company to move away from its lifetime guarantee to now restrict returns to one year.

As detailed in this article from Los Angeles Times, some customers are habitual returners and it's cost the company millions of dollars.
