This is an electronic dog collar. The idea is you put it on your dog, and when he does something wrong, you give him a little shock. Wouldn't it be great if we had that for politicians.Hey Barney Frank...Rick Santorum, Heel!
The science of Behavior modification rests on the principle that people can change. Whether using positive reinforcement, a reward for example, or employing negative tactics such as punishment, like zapping them or making them watch Keith Olbermann. The question is..do they really change?
It seems that there are two camps here. There are those who think people can change. That the sum of their life experiences acts as a catalyst for such change. On the other hand, there are those who choose a path that supports the status quo.
I guess we'll really never really know if people can change. But it doesn't mean we can't keep experimenting. OK, now put the collar on Bill Maher.
