There’s strip club in LA who wants to donate money to save a little league team. But the league says it’s not so sure it wants money from a strip club. Not because of the image, but who’s gonna unfold all thsoe dollar bills.

When I was a kid, I played little league, and my team was sponsored by a concrete company that was owned by the mob. I kid you not. And coincidentally, we never lost a game. Remember The Bad News Bears, sponsored by a bail bonds company?  We were kids. We didn’t know; we didn’t care. We had nice uniforms and well maintained fields to play, complete with stands and a PA system.

So if in these austere times, a strip club wants to sponsor a little league team, should the league turn their money down because of a few girls named Trixie and Destiny? It’s not like the kids uniforms will say Bada Bing on them. Baseball has a long and rich tradition of playing right thru scandals, and still coming out unscathed.

And that won’t change even if there is a little foul on the pole.
