You have to wonder if the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. would have been seen the same way had he been campaigning for the same values today.

Back when he was marching and speaking and giving interviews, Dr. King carried a Bible everywhere he went.

He quoted Bible verses andpreached the Christian Gospel in most of his speeches.

Dr. King spoke out against injustice, but he also spoke out against abortion and pornography and in favor of a strong family.

We sometimes forget that Dr. Martin Luther King was not just a social activist or a community organizer, but he was a Christian pastor.

Today, when Christian pastors speak out and campaign for some of the same things Dr. King believed, they are often marginalized and criticized.

Some of that has to do with the way some of them talk all about judgment…but very little about love.

But the core beliefs of what Dr. King preached then and what Christian pastors preach today have not changed.

But in many respects, the world has.
