I have started to really dislike weather forecasters.
Why? Because they’re always so cheery, even when the weather is not.
Take this week for instance. After several days of the kind of winter weather that made us all move to San Diego, the forecast suddenly changed as a rainy cold front started heading our way.
The forecast turned to rain expected for the next several days into and right through the weekend.
And the TV weather folks seemed happy about it.
We need the rain they said. It’s nice having a little rain from time to time.
Well maybe some other time…but not this week. Because this week is the annual PGA tournament at Torrey Pines.
It is a signature event in the world of sports every year in San Diego and it also helps tourism with it being a great advertisement for the city aimed at all those frozen people back East.
But if it’s raining and cold, it messes up everything.
So to all those TV weather folks, have your fun, but at least feel our pain a little.
