The tragedy in Arizona should be a warning to us all.
If 19 professionally trained firefighters can be overcome by a giant wildfire in seconds…it can happen to the rest of us.
Yet every year, when wildfires break out somewhere in San Diego County, many homeowners think they can beat the odds.
They think they know when they have to leave their homes and even if police and fire personnel tell them to leave, some resist, thinking they’ll still have time to leave for safety if
they have to.
If you’ve ever been close to a wildfire, you know they can move extremely quickly…and they can change direction just as fast and that they can create their own mini tornadoes filled
So if anything good can come out of this loss of firefighters in Arizona, it will be that those who don’t have respect for wildfires now……will.
