I have had conversations with good (female) friends regarding the things that hold women back. And we have decided that women have a nasty tendency to hold each other back. I have been a working girl since I was allowed to work, at 15. From jobs in burger joints, to careers in radio, I have seen a disturbing pattern...women subverting other women in the workplace. It's exemplified by Hilary Rosen's idiocy this week, snidely slamming Ann Romney for being a stay-at-home-mom. It was an ugly skirmish in the war...but not surprising, unfortunately. My friend Deb, one of the smartest people I know, is a SAHM, and a blogger, and an entrepreneur. She is also an all-around good-egg. Her blog post today is a harsh look at what women have both allowed to happen...and what they have done to themselves. It's sobering, and a little stomach-turning. And every word rings true. Read it and weep ladies...this is what we have come to. http://www.deblogsite.com/
