Let me just say, up front, I have no problem paying taxes. I don't love it, but I understand that gummint must be funded, and as a citizen, I am one of those who helps fund it. Where I get really peeved, however, is when I see the percentage of people who get away with paying NO federal taxes. You cannot possibly care what your government is up to if you have no skin in the game, and far too many of us do not. Even a token amount of money would do. When you are "buying," a product, you tend to want some quality. As soon as the percentage of those paying NO federal tax clicks over the 51 percent mark, we are hosed...because the remaining 49 percent who IS paying becomes the new 1 percent...and we all know, the 1 percent sucks, and must pay more. Because they owe us, and it's only fair. Gird your loins, buddy, it's coming...for you, the new 1 percent.
