Colossal overreaction to the Secret Service hooker flap in Colombia?
Absolutely.  President Clinton made sex during foreign policy phone
calls normal and lying about them perfectly acceptable. How was Obama
in danger when he wasn't in country for this ridiculously useless
'summit'?

Welcome to the Obama White House where being a big donor will get you
a night in the Lincoln Bedroom.  But isn't that the way of politics?
Money buys access - I 'bundled' for George W. Bush and was invited to
the White House - I wasn't invited because I knew the man.

Does it make me a jerk for thinking that we ought to have annual
memorials for the USS COLE and not worry about a ship from 100 years
ago?  I know it captured our imagination, but it was a ship, like any
other, that sunk.  Sad, but was the way of the sea - let's remember
the ships sunk by Islamic terror and not random icebergs.

Is she an angel of death or mercy? A woman in San Diego sold suicide
kits and there is a movement of people behind her saying she brought
dignity to people who died using her materials.  Really?  It is human
nature to want to live, not die.

Sarah Silverman is truly doing anything for publicity - this weekend
she tweeted phony abortion pictures since she thinks the "war on women" will
repeal Roe v. Wade - I would sign up for the war if it would repeal
the right to commit infanticide, but it is 'settled law' and will take
another constitutional scholar on the SCOTUS to find that a baby is a
person.

Vice President Joe Biden EARNED $21,000 from the Secret Service
because he charges them rent
in order to protect him!  You've got to
be kidding (sadly, we're not: you are paying for the Secret Service to
protect Biden, but the law allows a government employee being
protected to charge for rent - so he did!) AND Biden only gave 1.5% of
his $380k to charity - Red Staters should be proud - you give about
11%.

Speaking of tax loopholes, the Obama's wrote off money that they gave
to their daughters - $48,000 (are you able to do that or is that
something for "the rich" since they earned money and didn't have to
spend ANYTHING to travel the world).

And then there is the so-called Buffet Rule - people earning $200k
should pay at least as much in taxes as their secretaries, but Obama
didn't - he paid 20% in taxes (I paid a higher rate than the
president) and EVERY DIME that the first family gave to charity came
from book sales - not a SINGLE DIME came from his $400k annual salary
and he still could not give more than 22% to charity (can you say
hypocrite?).

Back in the war world, the Taliban (the people that we are negotiating
with) did a multi-pronged simultaneous attack in Afghanistan today
leaving this not only the biggest attack by a group we're talking to,
but the group that we are going to give Afghanistan to when we leave
(incidentally, they are the same group we 'defeated' in the first
months of the war against al Qaeda), but they're back.

UCSD is one of the most diverse campuses on any of the UC or Cal State
schools, but they are being forced by the feds to open an office so
people can report discrimination - where no discrimination exists.
This is like the case of the student putting their noose on their own
dorm room door OR the professor who vandalized her own car to "start a
discussion" after she reported it as a crime. Insane waste of money!

Mitt Romney needs to fight harder to get his message out (I find it
odd that I am defending Romney faster on Facebook and Twitter than his
campaign), but here is another example: Romney is right on the facts
and the Treasury Secretary (did he release his tax forms for the year,
he's got a history after all) is wrong on the facts.  So is Romney
hitting back?  Not yet.

The UN is in Syria!  HOORAY, don't look behind the curtain since the
dictator is still killing people, but don't worry, the UN issued a
statement.

How do you save money when you are planning for your summer vacation?
The NYT has a surprising answer.

Talk about self-aggrandizement and the notion that his school board
snub sent him to Congress is silly.  He promised things to people, he
brought home the bacon and he fought for legalization (and for
illegals to vote) to keep sending him back.  Now that he's in 3rd
place in the SD mayor's race you can only imagine his resolve to be
relevant again.
