ON THE
There
is a smell in La Jolla and people on the City Council are ‘daring’ Gov. Jerry
Brown to visit during stink season (imagine any town having a
stink season) – why does it smell? Easy,
sea birds and seals are crapping everywhere.
What to do? Wring your hands and cry about it – instead of getting rid
of the problem (it’s not like we don’t have plenty of ocean at our
disposal). There is a solution;
politicians just don’t want to do it.
The military doesn’t want him; our allies don’t trust him
and there is open rebellion by everybody from the left to the right about the
appointment of Chuck Hagel as SECDEF, but Obama’s going to do it anyway. Why?
New Jersey and New York Congressmen are upset that a bill
filled with pork didn’t make it through the lame duck session of Congress. Rep. Pete King said that it was because of
discrimination against the Northeast. That’s
idiotic, but SOMEHOW New Jersey found money to do a gun buy-back program. Ever smell Jersey from Manhattan? They ought to be paying NYers as an apology…
and pay for this yourself.
San Diego Mayor Bob Filner is an unabashed Socialist (he
won because Carl DeMaio thought he had a lock on the position – what ever
happened to DeMaio anyway?), but
he’s being blamed by the environmental left for ‘cancelling’ Earth Day (anybody
care?). It’s not really
cancelled, of course, but listening to organizers it just won’t be the same.
Fifty
people showed up to protest the Del Mar Gun Show (the
busy-bodies don’t want them to continue because of what happened in Sandy
Hook), but in Los
Angeles they just hosted the same gun show with record attendance. Rational people know that it is not the gun
that kills the person (if that were the case cities like Detroit, D.C., and
Chicago would be the safest in the nation instead of the deadliest), but not
this group of busybodies. Oh,
a similar number showed up in Florida too – oddly a place that is much safer
than those three places combined.
Oddly (or in typical leftist fashion), people
are boycotting hotel chains where NRA members get discounts (I’m an NRA
member and though I don’t use these hotels, I’m more likely to do it if I’m
stuck). Who should we boycott? Newspaper and media outlet-used hotels since
they can’t wait to stick it to law-abiding Americans? And
the Feinstein bill against guns is coming on January 22nd. If you own a gun (or don’t own one yet),
better get one. Can you imagine
a national registry of – oh I don’t know – journalists practicing the First
Amendment?
This
has been a banner year for the Food Stamp President: $80 BILLION spent to feed
hungry Americans. If only
Obama put as much effort into getting the USA in a climate that creates jobs
and economic growth as he does expanding the welfare rolls.
Religion of peace updates: You
wouldn’t know it by listening (because it’s not being said by U.S. officials),
but Christians are under threat in the Middle East. Why?
Blasphemy of course – the religion of peace (Islam) demands Christians
convert or face execution. CANADA
is speaking out about the killings and threats, but the Obama
Administration is fairly silent.
Then, the
brutal rape of a 9-year-old Pakistani girl leads to her death and those who
were detained are now free. Why?
Because the complainant was a woman and they have no standing in the Sharia
courts of that country. We support them
to the tune of billions of dollars a year, but we can’t help a brutally raped
girl get justice. How sad. Even in Malaysia the government is
warning that people must uphold that country as a Muslim state – be brave.
Christians are being persecuted
across the Middle East (not in Israel where you can practice any religion you
want – or none at all), but in
places like Egypt – where Christians used to be able to practice openly,
they’re not able. Canada is the country
leading the charge: not America.
Typical of President Obama.
What happens when the uniformed
get to vote in equal (or more) numbers than people who actually watch the news
and see the empirical failure of Socialist Europe? Nothing: even
the Economist missed the news that the GOP has been warning for YEARS that
we’re facing a crisis in the USA – people just want MORE of MY money.
Can I just tell you how much I
hate Solana Beach right now? I went to
there and was charged a DIME for the privilege of using a USED paper bag (I saw
the woman in front of me bring them back and she didn’t use all of her used
bags) and CVS
in Solana Beach SOLD me a used bag at a PHARMACY! Are they crazy?
Speaking of a pharmacy – the
world is going crazy because people are getting the flu during flu season. I’m not sure why people are surprised, but
even more surprising is the fact that the vast majority of people that are sick
DID NOT get the flu vaccine. Go
figure: we’re going to end up sick because idiots refused to take a vaccine
they thought would make them sick.
You’ve all heard people: taking the vaccine makes me get the flu.
Idiots.
In a couple of weeks (on January
20th) the
USA will once again spend millions of dollars to play host to the inauguration
of President Obama. He sent out a number of notes to followers
asking for people to come, but DHS is only expecting a few hundred
thousand. Why do we spend more to
inaugurate a president than England spends to coronate a king or queen?
