ON THE
SHOW TODAY:
President
Obama was sworn in for his 2nd term today at the White House. This is one of the first and only times that
he actually followed the Constitution. I
guess we should be thrilled about it and who better to swear him in than the
swing vote in the Obamacare case – Chief Justice John Roberts (no, he didn’t
screw up the words like he did in 2009).
He took the oath in the Blue Room of the White House. (Watch
the video)
The public is consistently told
that taxpayers don’t pay for the inaguration of the president. That’s not even 25% true since taxpayers
will foot the bill for at least $75 million of the $100 million cost to swear
Obama in a 2nd time.
Let’s pass a law that 2nd inaugurals (where NOTHING changes)
cost taxpayers zero. It shouldn’t cost
more to swear in a president than it does to coronate a king or queen of
Europe. By the way: the wedding of
Prince William and Kate Middleton was about $32 million. Just saying.
Democrats
are touting the “large public” role Latinos have during the fake inauguration
ceremony on Monday (since he already took the oath). It’s nice to
have the Chiquita banana lady at the inaugural, but when it comes to governing
the all-important “diversity” measure is pretty much consists of white guys
that wear different color ties at Cabinet meetings. BUT,
diversity is “still to come” says Valerie Jarrett.
The NYT did an exposé on the
things people see as changes in the Obamas from four years ago to today. They’re
all superficial and superfluous things – what they really are now that they
weren’t before is royalty with tastes for things they could not previously
afford. It’s easy to get used to
multi-million dollar vacations on other people’s money.
“Detroit is alive and al Qaeda is
decimated,” (that was the talking point during the campaign and every speaker
said it at the DNC) YET al
Qaeda operatives took control of an Algerian oil facility. Americans were taken prisoner in the attack
and during the early days of the crisis the Secretary of State and the
president were silent. Today
al Qaeda (the decimated organization) took credit for it. By the way – the talking point about
Detroit being alive and al Qaeda being “decimated” was made more than 4,000
times from June 1, 2011 to November 7, 2011 (according to a Lexis search, check
for yourself).
Statistics
are in and by the end of 2013 California will be minority white and majority
Hispanic. One has to assume (or hope) this means an end to
discriminatory policies like affirmative action, but it is very likely that it
won’t.
Also
today it was revealed that Obama wants to learn more about what happened in
Algeria. Huh? He is the
PRESIDENT and he doesn’t know what happened yet? He can’t call the Algerian president (we did
help depose the last guy).
Imagine getting a call from your
child’s kindergarten principal telling you that she has to be suspended from
school because she made a terrorist threat.
It
happened in Pennsylvania when a five-year-old was suspended for threatening to
shoot her friends with bubbles with a Hello Kitty bubble gun (it is pink). You’d think this was a joke, but it’s
not. This girl will carry this on her
record forever. Is
it racist? The Japanese love Hello Kitty
(get the internment camps ready) and Hello Kitty is a feminist
icon – how many men were in on this decision to quash this little girls hopes
to be a feminist? Where’s NOW?
If you think being shot to death
by bubbles is not a real threat, look to the news
out of New Mexico where a 15-year-old is under arrest for shooting and killing
2 adults and 3 children. He shot
the people in the home with an AR-15 that news outlets are being fast to call
an assault rifle, but is it? He could
have done the same killing in New York where you can only use seven bullets in
a magazine now. Gun laws won’t work
against people that want to kill. Good
thing he had no bubbles!
Ever wonder about the political
party affiliation that mass shooters had in the USA? Odd,
the mainstream media forgot to tell you the deadliest, most recent
mass-shootings in America were committed by Democrats. I don’t pretend to be non-partisan (I’m very
partisan) so I wonder if these guys were Republican if we’d hear about it? OF COURSE we would – it would be INSERT NAME,
a registered Republican, killed INSERT NUMBER of people at Batman in Aurora,
Colorado…
Also something to ponder if you’re sending your son to
school for the first time this year or next:
he walks out the door in 1st grade a boy and comes back from high
school reading the Vagina Monologues and wanting to major in Women’s Studies at
Berkeley. It’s
because of feminist teachers – they not only neuter the boys, but they make
them dumber!
Speaking of schools: the
LA Unified School District TEACHERS agreed to the manner in which they would be
rated. Talk about the inmates
running the asylum – there were no parents in the room when it was decided what
they would agree to the District’s manner of rating. If only they had that when I was in the
military, I’d have been Commandant!
California enacted some of the
strongest environmental laws on the planet, but
scientists are telling us to be ready for the smog and muck in the air over
China to make its way to America – using the jet stream. If that’s the case doesn’t that mean all
of the extra money we’re paying for things in California are for naught since
China is impacting our air quality more than anything we do?
U.S.
Senate Democrats say they will not only pass a budget, but they’re going to
pass a budget with more tax increases in it. That’s
wonderful except they’ve already taxed the rich (to great applause by the middle
class), but guess who’s turn is next?
Yup, the middle class. Enjoy
paying your fair share.
Lawful
gun owners rallied around the country on Saturday afternoon (at noon) to show
the president that they want to be able to defend themselves and exercise their
Second Amendment Constitutional right. Undaunted, though, the president came out
with a long list of things he would like to do in order to stop gun violence
(none of it aimed at criminals).
