ON THE
PROGRAM:

President Obama was body slammed by a federal appeals
court when it ruled that his
recess appointments to the National Labor Relations Board were unconstitutional
since the Senate was not in recess when he made them. Now
Obama is telling the country that he will continue cracking down on
irresponsible behavior. Shouldn’t crackdowns begin at home?

Bob
Filner is calling for stronger ties between Tijuana and San Diego.  He’s already decided to open a San Diego
Mayor’s office there, but now he wants more.  It would make
sense if competition was balanced, but Mexico doesn’t have the pay or union
requirements of San Diego, but don’t tell Mayor Filner that – he thinks you can
have it all if you just open an office.

Senator Feinstein confirmed
on Sunday that the gun ban she introduced in the Senate would get a
vote (there are still not enough votes to get it through that
Democratically-controlled body), BUT
Obama insists that not having enough Democrat votes in the Senate is the fault
of House Republicans.  It would be funny if the lapdogs in the media
didn’t hang on his every word as if it were true (or if the House could stop a
Democrat in the Senate from doing anything).

I wouldn’t be caught dead in
Chicago without a gun: Just
on Saturday night 7 more Chicagoans were murdered. This is a city with
the highest number of restrictions on gun ownership & regulations, but is
the most violent, deadliest city in America. Why? If gun bans worked Chicago
would be utopia, but it’s deadlier today than when Capone ran it. In just one
tragic story a mother lost her FOURTH child to gun violence in a city where
guns are virtually banned.

There are probably tests to
whether or not somebody is a narcissist and I don’t know if Obama ever had that
test, but one thing is true: he is one! 
His son would look like Trayvon Martin (remember that?) and now we learn
that his
fake son wouldn’t be allowed to play football.  How about his daughters – are they
allowed to be infantrymen now that he lifted the ban on women in combat?

Thousands
of people stood in line in Orange County to attend a gun show there that
typically attracts half the number. Could it
be that all the talk of taking people’s guns will cause people to want more
guns?  Turns out it is.

Speaking of doing anything –
something that will do nothing is the bill offered by House Republicans to
increase the debt limit: no
budget, no pay will become law. 
The vast majority of Members of Congress are
wealthy (or are married to wealthy spouses) and it’s probably unconstitutional
NOT to pay them.  

The potential of Congressmen to be
thrown out by dissatisfied constituents didn’t force anybody in the Senate pass
a budget – why will not paying them for a couple of weeks or months?  Let’s also think about the fact that many
Constitutional scholars say it would be unconstitutional to withhold the pay of
Congress.

Perhaps there is no greater oddity
than watching government
websites (supposedly the most secure in the world) are taken over by hackers
(supposedly as payback by the group “Anonymous” for the suicide of the founder
of Reddit).  Add to that absurdity the
fact that a
man was charged with making a terrorist threat against the Liberty Bell.  Can you threaten an inanimate object?  This is as strange to me as treating police
dogs like police officers when it comes to sentencing and charging with crimes.

Obamacare is costing America
billions of dollars a month MORE than it was estimated it would cost.  Regulations are coming out by the thousands
and now a study shows that moves
by the president to legalize illegal immigrants would add billions more in
costs to Obamacare.  Does he not
understand that we cannot afford to become a welfare state? Or does he just not
care?  By the way – there
is an avalanche of new federal regulations that has been unleashed by the Administration
– they’re going to regulate every part of our lives.

In
a religion of peace update: a Muslim in Britain used the “Islam made me do it”
defense against rape charges AND WON!  The pedophile said that his Islamic
upbringing meant he didn’t know it was a crime to rape a 13-year-old girl.  Savages will be savages & you have to
wonder if Britain will come around to the invasion of this ideology onto their
shores?

Speaking
of savages – albeit savages of Nazi Germany and what happened to them after the
fall of Germany during WWII – a new book looks at how easy it was for a Nazi to
disappear after the war.  Whether it was bureaucratic mistakes,
payoffs, assistance from sympathetic ears or for money – it was easy to run the
rat line. Makes you wonder.

The California bullet train needs
land and when Californians approved the boondoggle they thought there would be
a direct, high-speed connection between San Diego and San Francisco.  Turns out that was all a lie and not only
that – California
hasn’t even bought the land for the route, but they’re selling the bonds and
accepting the money. Huh?

With all of the focus on
legalizing pot and other drugs there is no longer as much attention as there
needs to be on abuse of prescription drugs. 
Just in
Orange County alone there is one death every two days as a result of
prescription drug abuse.  Maybe
we should stop things like medical pot and worry about medicine chests at the
same time?
