Eleven People Homeless After Talmadge Fire

Eleven people are without a home after fire ripped through a Talmadge-area apartment building.  The fire started in the back bedroom of a unit at the two-story building on Talmadge Park Row shortly before 3:00a.m. Wednesday, and quickly spread to three neighboring apartments, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue.

Several other apartments sustained smoke damage.  Ten adults, one child and a dog were all displaced, but there were no injuries reported.

Total damage is about $250,000.  Crews are still investigating the cause of the fire, but say it was not intentionally set.
