This Man has NOTHING to be Ashamed of...

Shame on the woman who felt compelled to take the picture..AND the snarky commentary in this article. (click on it. Tell me what you think.)

Treating this man as though he has somehow fallen from grace. I would put it to you, that he has more grace than most.

As soon as I was legal to work, I got a job. I started working construction with a buddy of mine. We spent a summer stuccoing a house in Alamogordo, New Mexico, doing the mix with shovels and a wheelbarrow.

I worked the drive-thru at Wendy's in Odessa Texas.

I raised Chimpanzees at a facility in Alamogordo New Mexico.

I was a singer in a rock and roll band at night, and a weekend DJ in Flagstaff.

When I was between radio jobs, and didn't know what the heck to do with myself, I worked on a sportfishing boat as a cook, and did a little deck-handing when they were scrambling.

I can't think of a job that is beneath me, because there are bills to pay, and people to take care of.

Apparently, actor Geoffrey Owens comes from the same, sturdy, peasant stock from which I sprung. When you can't do what you want, you do what you freaking have to.

Someone snapped a picture of him, working at a Trader Joe's.

The appropriately named, "Karma," just felt so darned badly for him! How kind of her to share her incredible sense of empathy with the world! What a humanitarian.

She feels so sad for him.

I don't. I am PROUD of him. And he should be damned proud of himself.

There is NO shame in doing what needs to be done. EVER.
