Blood Test Detects Alzheimer's Disease - Who Should Get The Test?

If you could find out if you're developing Alzheimer's disease, would you take the test?

The chief medical officer of Sharp Behavioral Health Services, Dr. Michael Plopper, explains how a simple blood test can predict if a patient will develop Alzheimer's disease up to 16 years before symptoms begin.

People who have a family history of developing Alzheimer's may or may not be interested in being tested, but Dr. Plopper urges anyone with symptoms to try to get into a clinical trial.

The best ways to stave off Alzheimer's is by watching your health, eating a Mediterranean diet and exercising.

Listen to our interview below about a new test, which isn't fully being utilized yet.
