The Election: Don't Worry, Just Vote.

It’s almost here. As of this morning, the election is just 120 hours away.

The final hours before the polling places officially open here in California on the morning of November 3rd.

Of course more than half of the voters expected to cast ballots have already done so by mail and now with polling places in San Diego County opening Saturday morning, for early voting and continuing through Monday evening, it looks like a record setting majority of voters will have voted even before Election Day morning.

And for most voters, that’s probably good. Based on interviews and studies, most people, who have are already stressed for month after month about the pandemic, are also stressed about the election.

And now that we are in the final five days before the election, many voters could be even more anxious than they’ve been.Anxious about the results and also anxious about what happens the day after.

Will we know the final results? Will there be legal battles over the results? Should we be worried about these worries about possible protests after the election, no matter who wins?

With the ongoing pandemic, 2020 has been a year filled with too much worry and too much anxiety. But based on the early voting records being set across the country, this also is year during which a lot more Americans have become interested in their government and how it can affect their lives.

And that has made all Americans more aware and hopefully more thankful that we have the freedom and also the obligation to vote. So don't worry, just vote!
