Los Angeles County Sheriff Richard Luna and other law enforcement officials held a news conference late this afternoon after a SWAT team earlier in the day breached a white van found in Torrance that was believed to be connected to the shooter who opened fire at the ballroom dance studio in Monterey Park. At least two bullet holes were visible in the driver’s-side window prior to the SWAT team's actions and the driver, believed to be the suspect, was dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunfire wound.

The Sheriff had said said they believe the suspect in the Monterey Park shooting is the same man who went into a dance studio in Alhambra about 20 minutes afterwards where several people wrestled a gun away from him and he fled the scene. His white van was spotted late Sunday morning in Torrance.
