Reverend Veronica Fuller is a candidate for the office of President of the United States in the 2020 election. Veronica is currently serving a prison sentence but she has worked hard to transform her life during her incarceration and she hopes to work on prison and educational reform.
While in prison, Reverend Fuller earned her Associates Degree in Christian Ministry, however, despite this accomplishment, she was denied parole in 2017 and will not be eligible again until 2022.
So is it possible to run for President of the United States while incarcerated? Revered Fuller was inspired by historical figure Eugene Debs who ran for president FIVE TIMES. He was one of the foremost socialists in the US during the early 1900’s. Debs was an outspoken critic of America’s participation in WW One and was incarcerated for sedition in 1920. While in prison, Debs ran for president as “Convict No. 9653” and received nearly one million votes which was 3.5 percent of the popular vote.
